- Check your feet daily for any changes or problems
- ask a family member if you have trouble, or use a mirror.
- Apply
a moisturiser after bathing especially around the heels to prevent dry skin.

- Dry thoroughly between the toes or use a spray bottle with methylated
spirits to keep them dry.
- Wear supportive footwear such as a leather
lace up shoe. Ask your podiatrist for their recommendation. ( see Specialist
Footwear )
- Avoid
going barefoot or wearing thongs!
- Exercise regularly - walking is
great and doesn't cause too much strain on joints or muscles. (Particularly when
sitting you can circle your feet or clench your toes!)
- Attend your
F&AC podiatrist regularly to ensure your feet are maintained at their optimum.
- Never wear tight restrictive socks or hosiery as they reduce blood
flow to your feet impairing your circulation.F&AC has a wide range of health socks
