Gippsland Foot Clinic’s Podiatrists all conduct and perform minor, soft tissue surgical procedures to remove skin lesions and in most instances painful “in-grown toe nails” that fail to respond to conservative treatment.

These procedures are usually painless due to the administration of a local anaesthetic. Once the nail and its’ ‘root’ are removed a chemical is applied to ensure regrowth of the nail does not occur. These procedures have proven to be extremely successful.

In cases where foot problems and deformities require more advanced surgical intervention Gippsland Foot Clinic is proud to offer the expert services of renowned Podiatric Foot and Ankle Surgeon, Dr. Mark Gilheany.

Surgical correction for persistent foot problems such as corns, hammertoes, heel spurs and bunions is now a real and cost effective option. Dr. Mark Gilheany brings to Gippsland Foot Clinic years of experience in both general podiatry and surgical practice.

This means that the person who performs your foot surgery truly understands foot function and the importance of “functional surgery”

Many foot problems can be addressed permanently and successfully with surgical treatments and research in the USA, UK and Australia show significant benefits in utilising podiatric surgeons for foot and ankle surgery.
